Cole Porter meets Mick Jagger.  How could this happen?  Well, whenever we were going to play Under My Skin, I often inadvertently referred to it as Under My Thumb.  (Doug's rather loose with lyrics anyway).  So, we did it that way for a while and decided to record it.  Little did we know how hard it would be.  We kept asking ourselves what we were trying to do.  Well, eventually the song(s) got a little schizoid.  Julie was trying to figure out if she should sing it straight, or embellish it a lot, or a little, or something in between.  Nothing really seemed to work too well.  Finally, one day Doug said to just let it go, turn off your brain and see what happens.  Well, here it is.  We really like it but we don’t know what Cole and Mick would really think.
